The recent settlement by the National Association of Realtors and the new compliance requirement mandating that buyers sign a realtor agreement before touring properties can lead to significant confusion and reluctance among potential homebuyers. This change in procedure may be perceived as an additional hurdle, complicating what is already a complex and often stressful process. Buyers who are not familiar with the intricacies of real estate transactions might feel overwhelmed by this new step, fearing it could limit their flexibility or obligate them prematurely.
